Nalanda is a safer place now that kids and adults have learned how to protect children, thanks to you. Children’s clubs are giving thousands of kids opportunities to express themselves and have fun learning about child protection.

Children have a solid understanding of their rights and are less vulnerable to harm. In 2022, 3,334 girls and boys took actions to help end violence against children. Kids are growing up in safer homes where parents practise positive discipline.

You’ve helped more children get a quality education, even during COVID-19 lockdowns when schools were closed.

Outside of the classroom, children are also learning key life skills. The workshops you’ve made possible have helped children and youth make good judgements, protect themselves, manage their emotions, share their ideas with others and lead change in their community.

Children and families in Nalanda have more sources of clean water close to home, including 65 new taps throughout the community that were installed from clean water systems last year.

Four neighbourhoods now have a safe waste disposal system, helping to keep Nalanda clean and limit the spread of disease.

Thanks to you, more caregivers from extremely poor households have the knowledge, skills and tools to secure their livelihoods and earn more income.

You also helped provide immediate assistance, such as cash and food, to make sure these families could meet their children’s daily needs as they forge a pathway out of poverty, for good.
